That depends. There are many types of websites ranging in scope and functionality from basic, brochure websites to e-commerce. Functionality can include photo gallery management, membership components, shopping carts and third party software integration. You see, not all websites are created equal.
Our typical website projects generally start in the $2,000 range for basic business sites and range upward depending on your unique needs.

The time it takes to produce a website depends on the size and complexity of your site and the quality of content that you have ready to go. A basic website typically takes around 6-8 weeks from beginning to end.
We can, but you are the expert in your field. You know your clients and business / industry better than we ever could. Should you need content written for your website, we can provide copy that is SEO and keyword enriched to help you get found.
Yes, you do. We can help you to get this set up and we can usually work with your existing provider. Although we are not a web hosting company, we do offer hosting for clients for whom we build and manage their sites as part of a website care plan.
Yes it will! We develop all of our websites to be mobile responsive and look great on all devices.
A site map is basically a visual outline of your web site’s pages. Just as you would create an outline for a term paper in order to plan the structure of the report, you would want to do the same with your web site. It’s important to create a site map before beginning on the design of your site so that you have a full understanding of how many pages your site will have (the structure), what content will need to be displayed and where and how the navigation should function. A site map can simply be drawn out on paper or created with more sophisticated tools, such as WriteMaps.com.
A Content Management System (CMS) is a is an application or software that enables you to create and edit your website’s content (text, graphics, etc.) without the need to know html or code. With a CMS, you simply login to the administration panel (referred to as the “backend” of the site) and edit and manage the site’s content. The changes or updates are then displayed on your live website (referred to as the “frontend”). Blue Turtle Graphics uses WordPress as a content management system. WordPress is an open-source (free!) blogging platform that is also a very powerful and user-friendly CMS.
Your website should be a continuously evolving online presence, so we hope you don’t just “launch and leave it”. Having fresh, updated content is important for SEO and and your business.
Your site is built with WordPress, a content management system, which requires free, open source software to function. Like all software, it needs to be updated on a regular basis along with the plugins your website uses. Old, outdated versions of WordPress are regular targets for hackers and spammers. You can choose to update the WordPress core and plugins your self (make sure to backup the site first and be prepared to restore it) and things may be ok. Just know that sometimes a new update can break the site, this is where that backup comes in handy!
If you think you aren’t techy enough update/backup your site, or just don’t have the time to deal with it, you’re in luck! We offer reasonable, monthly website care packages that include your website hosting. Check out our monthly Website Care Plans.

Many times, I’ve been asked where the name Blue Turtle Graphics came from. When I began my business, I wanted to choose a name that reflected me as an individual. Living in southwest Florida, my life revolves around the ocean: from boating, kayaking and going to the beach to snorkeling and scuba diving. Sea turtles have and always will be my favorite thing to find swimming in the water. Existing on earth for an estimated 65 million years, sea turtles are often a symbol for stability and longevity. What better qualities other than resilience and steadfastness are there to name your company after? So why Blue Turtle? Blue is the color of the ocean and just so happens to be one of my favorite colors, so Blue Turtle Graphics seemed like a natural choice!
